Horses and hounds

Former stables made of stone in 1908 and converted to a house in 1915. Located in a secluded garden in the middle of the town of Porvoo, on the highest location just next to the old town. All windows and open terrace with a view towards the 1/3 acre landscaped garden.

The house has a sauna and modern shower/wet room, bar kitchen and accommodation for two in a pull-out sofa bed. Connect your phone via bluetooth to play your favourite music on top-of-the-range music system. Total living surface area 45 m2 / 485 ft2.

The space

Simple accommodation in a quiant stone building which was originally built in 1908 as horse stables. In later years the space was converted for living with a fireplace dating from 1911. Now there are modern features such as underfloor heating, small bar kitchen inside a cabinet with sink and tap, a kettle. You can keep your drinks and snacks cool in the mini fridge. And there is an indoor toilet too!

1860 House and 2020 garden

The location is a delightful combination of privacy with relaxing atmosphere in the garden yet you are only a few steps away from old town shops and restaurants.
The landlord was used to work and travel frequently around the world. When travel was no more an option after the spring 2020 there was plenty of time for landscaping the garden with pebbles, pot-plants and manicured lawns.
